Narrow it down
The wheel includes the 193 UN member states plus the Vatican City and Palestine. Want only European countries, or only places you can reach by train? Clear the list and paste your own. Use Elimination mode to work through countries one by one without repeats.
How the 195 countries split by continent
| Continent | Countries on the wheel |
|---|---|
| Africa | 54 |
| Asia | 48 |
| Europe | 44 |
| North America | 23 |
| Oceania | 14 |
| South America | 12 |
The counts follow the United Nations regional groupings, where a country that spans two continents is counted once. North America includes Central America and the Caribbean. Because Africa has the most countries, a random spin lands there more often than anywhere else, at about 28% of the time.
A country quiz in five questions
- Spin the wheel and read out the country.
- One point for naming the continent.
- Two points for the capital city.
- Two points for describing the flag.
- Three points for naming a country it shares a border with, or the nearest neighbour if it is an island.
- Three points for an official language.
Play in Elimination mode for ten countries per team. For random quiz teams, the Team Picker does the split.
Travel roulette rules that work
- Set a budget and trip length first, then build the wheel from places that fit both.
- Check entry rules and official travel advice for the result before you book anything.
- Allow one re-spin each, and agree that the second result stands.
- Not travelling this year? Use the result for a themed evening instead: the food, a film and some music from that country.

Can I spin for countries on one continent?
